If you're starting from downtown Phoenix, walk to the nearest Valley Metro Light Rail station, which is typically at 1st Avenue and Washington Street. Board the light rail heading towards Mesa and ride it for about 15 minutes until you reach the 44th Street/Washington station. From there, transfer to Bus Route 3 at the bus stop located outside the station. Take Bus Route 3 in the direction of 44th Street and Camelback Road, and ride for about 10 minutes until you reach the stop at Galvin Parkway. From the bus stop, it's a short 5-minute walk north on Galvin Parkway to reach the Phoenix Zoo at 455 N Galvin Pkwy.
