Getting There

• Driving

  From downtown Tucson, travel west on Speedway Boulevard, which becomes Gates Pass Road. Continue to Kinney Road and turn right (north). Drive approximately 4 miles on Kinney Road. At the junction of Kinney and Mile Wide Roads (one mile past the Desert Museum), turn right into Saguaro National Park. Continue north 1 mile on Kinney Road to the Red Hills Visitor Center, which will be on your right. Note: A standard entrance fee of $25 per vehicle is required to enter Saguaro National Park, valid for 7 days and includes access to both the Tucson Mountain District (West) and the Rincon Mountain District (East). Credit or debit cards are accepted at the Red Hills Visitor Center.

• Public Transport

  While there is no direct public transportation to the Red Hills Visitor Center, the Sun Tran bus Route 103 stops at the Desert Museum, which is located about 1 mile from the park entrance. From the Desert Museum, you would need to walk, bike, or take a taxi/rideshare to the visitor center. A taxi or rideshare from the Desert Museum to the Red Hills Visitor Center would likely cost between $10 and $20. Note: A standard entrance fee of $15 per person is required to enter Saguaro National Park if entering by foot or bicycle, valid for 7 days and includes access to both districts.
