Walking
If you are starting from downtown Prescott, head north on Montezuma Street. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Gurley Street. Turn left onto Gurley Street and keep walking for another 0.3 miles until you reach the Prescott Courthouse Plaza. From here, take a right onto Cortez Street and continue for about 0.2 miles. You will see the sign for the Prescott National Forest on your left. The entrance to the forest is just a short walk from the road.

Starting from the Prescott Public Library, head west on Goodwin Street for about 0.3 miles. Turn right onto Montezuma Street and continue north for 0.5 miles. When you reach the intersection with Gurley Street, turn left. Follow Gurley Street for approximately 0.3 miles until you reach the Prescott Courthouse Plaza. From the plaza, take a right onto Cortez Street. After about 0.2 miles, look for the entrance to Prescott National Forest on your left. Bicycles are allowed on the main roads leading into the forest.

If you prefer to use public transportation, catch the Yavapai Regional Transit bus route that services downtown Prescott. Board the bus at the stop near the Prescott Courthouse Plaza. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop for the Prescott National Forest, which is approximately 20 minutes away. Once you get off, follow the walking path signs that will lead you directly to the forest entrance.
