From Flagstaff, Arizona, head north on U.S. Route 180. Follow this road for approximately 14 miles until you reach the entrance to the Kachina Peaks Wilderness area at Doyle Saddle. Look for the signs marking the entrance. Parking is available at the trailhead, but be aware that there may be a parking fee, which is typically around $5 per vehicle. Make sure to have cash or a credit card ready for the fee.

Public Transportation
Start by taking the Mountain Line bus service from downtown Flagstaff to the 'Snowbowl' stop. The bus typically runs every hour. Once you arrive at the Snowbowl stop, you will need to hike approximately 3 miles on the Snowbowl Road to reach the Kachina Peaks Wilderness trailhead at Doyle Saddle. Note that this hike is uphill, so prepare accordingly. Ensure you check the Mountain Line schedule for the latest timings. The bus fare is usually around $2.50.

If you are already within the San Francisco Peaks area, you can access the Kachina Peaks Wilderness by hiking from nearby trails. The most common route is to start from the Arizona Snowbowl area. Follow the marked trails leading toward Doyle Saddle, which will take you into the wilderness area.
