If you are starting from downtown Scottsdale, head to the Scottsdale Transit Center located at 7375 E 2nd St. Catch the Valley Metro Bus Route 51 heading towards the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Get off at the stop on E McDowell Rd & N 64th St. From there, transfer to Bus Route 40, which goes to the Phoenix Zoo. Get off at the stop near the Phoenix Zoo entrance. After that, it's a short walk to Hole in the Rock located at 625 N Galvin Pkwy. Follow the signs towards Papago Park, and you will see the Hole in the Rock trailhead.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in Scottsdale. Start your ride heading west on E Indian School Rd. Continue onto E McDowell Rd until you reach N Galvin Pkwy. Turn left onto N Galvin Pkwy and ride straight for about 1.5 miles. You will see signs for Papago Park and Hole in the Rock. Follow the signs to the parking area, and you can secure your bike at the trailhead.
