Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the center of Arizona State University, near the Old Main building. Head south towards E University Dr. Continue straight on E University Dr for about half a mile until you reach S Mill Ave. Turn left on S Mill Ave and walk for about 0.4 miles. At E Rio Salado Pkwy, turn right and walk for 0.2 miles. You will see the entrance to Rio Salado Park on your right.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations available around Arizona State University. From the ASU campus, head south on S Mill Ave for about 0.4 miles, then turn right onto E Rio Salado Pkwy. Continue riding for 0.2 miles and you will arrive at the entrance of Rio Salado Park on your right. Remember to follow all traffic rules and wear a helmet.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    Walk to the nearest bus stop at S Mill Ave and E University Dr. Take the Valley Metro Bus Route 72 (heading towards the Tempe Marketplace). Stay on the bus for about 5 minutes and get off at the stop at E Rio Salado Pkwy. From there, it’s a short walk of about 0.1 miles to the entrance of Rio Salado Park, which will be on your left. Note that bus fares are typically $2.00 for a single ride.
