If you are starting from the Sedona Main Street District, head north on N State Route 89A. Walk along the sidewalk until you reach the intersection with W Route 179. Cross the street at the traffic light and continue onto W Route 179. Follow this road as it winds for about 1 mile until you reach the Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village. From Tlaquepaque, continue on W Route 179 until you reach the intersection with Thunder Mountain Rd. Turn left onto Thunder Mountain Rd and continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Thunder Mountain Trailhead on your left.
