Light Rail
If you are starting from downtown Tempe, head to the nearest Light Rail station, which is the Tempe Transportation Center located at 200 E 6th St. Take the Light Rail heading northbound towards the 19th Ave/Montebello Ave station. Stay on the train for about 15 minutes, and get off at the 3rd St/Washington station in Phoenix. From there, walk east on Washington St for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at the Arizona Science Center located at 600 E Washington St.

From the Tempe Transit Center, which is located at 200 E 6th St, you can take the Valley Metro Bus Route 61 towards the 'Washington/1st Ave' stop. After approximately a 20-minute ride, get off at the 'Washington/1st Ave' stop. After getting off the bus, walk east on Washington St for about 3 blocks, and you will reach the Arizona Science Center at 600 E Washington St.

If you prefer to walk from downtown Tempe, start at the ASU campus. Head north on Mill Ave until you reach the bridge over the Tempe Town Lake. Cross the bridge, and continue straight onto 1st St. Follow 1st St until it turns into Washington St. Continue walking east on Washington St for about 2.5 miles until you reach the Arizona Science Center at 600 E Washington St.
