Public Bus
If you are near the Tempe Town Lake, walk to the nearest bus stop at Rural Rd & Rio Salado Pkwy. Catch Bus 66 heading north towards the downtown area. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop at 3rd St & Washington. From there, walk east on Washington St for about 5 minutes until you reach 2nd Ave, then turn left and walk north for 2 blocks. The Herberger Theater Center will be on your right at 222 E Monroe St.
Light Rail
Head to the nearest light rail station, which is at Mill Ave & 3rd St. Board the light rail heading to Mesa. After 4 stops, get off at the 3rd St & Washington station. From the station, walk east on Washington St for about 5 minutes until you reach 2nd Ave, then turn left and walk north for 2 blocks. The Herberger Theater Center is located at 222 E Monroe St on your right.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations in Tempe. Start by heading north along Mill Ave, then turn left onto Washington St. Continue straight until you reach 2nd Ave. Turn left on 2nd Ave and the Herberger Theater Center, located at 222 E Monroe St, will be on your right. Make sure to follow bicycle lanes and safety rules.
Walking
If you are already in the downtown area of Tempe, simply walk to 2nd Ave. Head east on Washington St, then turn left on 2nd Ave and walk north for about 2 blocks. The Herberger Theater Center will be at 222 E Monroe St on your right. It’s a straightforward 10-15 minute walk if you are near the heart of downtown.
