Stay on the train for about 15 minutes. Get off at the '3rd Ave/Jefferson' station in downtown Phoenix. From there, walk north on 3rd Ave for about 2 blocks until you reach N 3rd St. Turn right on N 3rd St, and you will find St. Mary's Roman Catholic Basilica at 231 N 3rd St on your left.

From anywhere in Tempe, locate the nearest Valley Metro bus stop. Take bus route 61 or 62 heading towards Phoenix. Ride for approximately 30 minutes, depending on your starting point. Get off at the '3rd St & Washington' stop. Walk west on Washington St for about 3 blocks, then turn left on N 3rd St. St. Mary's Roman Catholic Basilica will be a short walk ahead on your left at 231 N 3rd St.
