If you're traveling by car within Tonto National Forest, start by heading towards Payson, AZ. From the center of Payson, take AZ-87 N (North Beeline Highway) for approximately 16 miles. Look for signs directing you to Rim Lakes Vista Overlook. You will turn onto Forest Road 300 (also known as Rim Road) and continue for about 3 miles. The overlook will be on your left, with a clearly marked parking area.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options are limited in this remote area. The closest public transport service is the Rim Country Bus, which operates in Payson. You can take the bus to the nearest stop and then hire a taxi or rideshare service to cover the remaining distance to Rim Lakes Vista Overlook. Please check the Rim Country Bus schedule in advance and note that rideshare services might have limited availability.
Walking/Hiking
