To reach the Salt River Canyon Wilderness Area by car, start from Globe, AZ. Take US-60 E from Globe for about 18 miles. As you approach the Salt River Canyon, look for the Salt River Canyon Vista point on your left, which offers a stunning view of the canyon. Continue on US-60 E for another 5 miles until you reach the turnoff for the Salt River Canyon Wilderness Area. There will be signs directing you to the area. Be aware that some unpaved roads may require a high-clearance vehicle, and parking is available at designated areas near the trails.

If you are using public transportation, your best option is to take a Greyhound bus to Globe, AZ. From there, you will need to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach the Salt River Canyon Wilderness Area. The distance from the Greyhound bus station in Globe to the canyon is approximately 20 miles. Make sure to check the availability of rideshare services as they may vary, and be prepared for costs that can range from $30 to $50 depending on demand and time of day.
