Car
From wherever you are in Tonto National Forest, navigate towards the nearest main road that leads to the Phoenix area. If you're coming from the northern parts of the forest, head south on the AZ-87 highway. Merge onto the US-60 W freeway towards Phoenix. Continue on US-60 W for about 20 miles. Take the exit for AZ-202 S towards Queen Creek/Gilbert. After approximately 10 miles, take exit 36 for Williams Field Rd and turn left onto Williams Field Rd. Continue for a mile, then turn right onto S Higley Rd. After 3 miles, turn left onto W Phillips Rd. San Tan Mountain Regional Park will be on your left side at 6533 W Phillips Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85142. Note that there is a parking fee of $7 per vehicle.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, first check for a local bus route that can take you to the Phoenix area. From Phoenix, you can take the Valley Metro bus line to the nearest stop that connects you to a shuttle service. As of now, there isn't a direct public transport route to San Tan Mountain Regional Park, so it’s advisable to use a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft from the nearest bus stop or light rail station. The approximate cost of a rideshare from downtown Phoenix to the park is around $30-40, depending on traffic. Remember, the park also charges a parking fee of $7.
