Getting There

• Public Bus

  To get to Colossal Cave Mountain Park from central Tucson, head to the nearest Sun Tran bus stop. You can catch the Route 6 bus towards 'Broadway/Campbell'. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Broadway Blvd & Houghton Rd'. From there, transfer to Route 104 towards 'Vail'. Stay on this bus for about 20 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Old Spanish Trail & Colossal Cave'. From the bus stop, it's a short 0.5-mile walk east along E Old Spanish Trail until you reach the entrance of Colossal Cave Mountain Park.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Tucson. Start from the downtown area and head east on E Broadway Blvd. Continue along this road until you reach S Houghton Rd. Turn south on Houghton Rd, and then take a left turn onto E Old Spanish Trail. Follow E Old Spanish Trail for about 8 miles, and you will arrive at Colossal Cave Mountain Park. Always ensure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules.

• Walking

  If you are up for an adventure and staying nearby, you can walk to Colossal Cave Mountain Park. From the nearest hotel (e.g., the Comfort Inn Tucson), head southeast on S Houghton Rd. Walk for about 4 miles until you reach E Old Spanish Trail. Turn right and continue east on E Old Spanish Trail for about 1 mile until you see the entrance to Colossal Cave Mountain Park. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
