Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving through Saguaro National Park, start at the Visitor Center located at 3693 S. Old Spanish Trail, Tucson, AZ. From the Visitor Center, head southeast on Old Spanish Trail for about 6 miles. Turn left onto Camino Loma Alta and continue for approximately 2.5 miles. This road will lead you to the entrance of the Hope Camp Trail, which is located near Vail, AZ. Be mindful of the speed limits and watch for wildlife on the road.

    To reach Hope Camp Trail using public transportation, you can take a Sun Tran bus to the nearest route that connects with Tucson’s public transit system. From downtown Tucson, take Route 8 (East Broadway) towards the east. Transfer to Route 107 (East Valencia) which takes you closer to the areas surrounding Saguaro National Park.
