The Eureka Springs Historical Museum, located in the heart of the historic district, offers a fascinating glimpse into the city's colorful past. Housed within the walls of the Calif House, a beautiful three-story home built in 1889, the museum's exhibits span from the pre-Eureka Springs era to modern times. The museum's collection boasts over 20,000 artifacts, including photographs, travel memorabilia, art, furniture, and documents. Permanent exhibits explore the Native American history of the area, Eureka Springs' rise as a health resort known as “The City That Water Built”, devastating fires that shaped the town, and the evolution of travel and tourism. Upstairs, visitors can delve into exhibits on Crescent College, the Ozark Folk Festival, and early medicine.
