The Eureka Springs & North Arkansas Railway (ES&NA) offers a unique opportunity to step back in time and experience the golden age of rail travel. Established in 1981, the railway operates on a portion of the original Arkansas & Ozarks Railway line, which dates back to 1882. The ES&NA provides scenic train excursions, allowing passengers to enjoy the natural beauty of the Ozark Mountains. The railway is located at a historic stone depot built in 1913, which houses a fascinating collection of railroad memorabilia, including vintage locomotives, passenger cars, and early gas-powered tractors. A working turntable, used to rotate the massive locomotive engines, is also a point of interest. Passengers can choose from a variety of train rides, including a narrated excursion train that provides insights into the region's railroad history. The Luncheon and Dinner Trains offer a unique dining experience aboard the elegant Eurekan Dining Car, combining gourmet cuisine with the rhythmic sounds of the rails. The ES&NA operates seasonally, from April through October.
