Getting There

  • Public Transport

    To reach Arevatsag Canyon via public transport, begin in Vanadzor and take a marshrutka (minibus) towards Stepanavan. The fare is approximately 500 AMD, and the journey takes around 30 minutes. From Stepanavan, you can take a taxi to Arevatsag Canyon for about 2000 AMD, or wait for a local bus that will take you closer to the canyon. Ask the driver to drop you off near the coordinates XJ54+QRX. From the bus stop, it's approximately a 1 km walk to the canyon entrance.

  • Walking

    If you're in Stepanavan and prefer to walk, you can follow the main road towards Arevatsag. The walk is approximately 6 km and takes around 1.5 hours. Follow the road signs leading to Arevatsag; you'll eventually reach the canyon. Be aware that the path can be uneven and may not be well-marked, so wear comfortable shoes and carry water.

  • Car

    When driving from Vanadzor, take the M6 highway towards Stepanavan. After about 12 kilometers, turn onto the road leading to Arevatsag. Follow the signs for Arevatsag Canyon. Parking is usually available near the canyon.
