Start at the center of Alaverdi, near the main square. Head north on Tigran Mets Street, which will take you towards the outskirts of the town. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the turn for Sanahin Monastery. You should see signs pointing towards Sanahin. Turn left onto the road leading up the hill. Follow this road for approximately 800 meters, which will lead you directly to the entrance of the Sanahin Monastery Complex.

Public Transport (Minibus)
From the center of Alaverdi, look for a minibus stop where you can catch a minibus heading to Sanahin. These minibuses run frequently. Board the minibus and inform the driver that you are going to the Sanahin Monastery Complex. After about a 10-minute ride (approximately 4 kilometers), the minibus will drop you off near the entrance of the monastery complex. From there, it’s a short walk uphill to reach the main site.
