From Khor Virap, a taxi to Dashtakar typically takes about 15 minutes. Agree on the fare before starting your trip, which should cost around 3,000-4,000 AMD. From Dashtakar village, the fossil site is a short distance away, and the driver should be able to take you directly to the location.

Public Transport
To reach Dashtakar by public transport, take a minibus (marshrutka) from Khor Virap heading to Artashat. The ride takes about 20 minutes. From Artashat, take a taxi or a local bus towards Dashtakar, approximately 2 km away. The taxi fare from Artashat to Dashtakar should be around 1,000-2,000 AMD. From Dashtakar village, the fossil site is a short distance away, either by walking or a short taxi ride.

Walking
If you are already within Arevik National Park, you can hike to Խեցիների և ծովային կենդանիների մնացորդներով քար. From the visitor center in the park, head southeast on the marked trails that lead towards Dashtakar village. The hike is approximately 5 km and will take around 1.5 hours. Follow the trail signs and use a map or GPS to navigate to the coordinates WPCX+GPH.
