Getting There

  • Car

    From Geghard Monastery, exit the monastery complex and head southeast on the road that leads to the main highway (H3). Follow the H3 road for about 8 kilometers until you reach the junction with the H4 road. Turn left onto H4. Continue on this road for approximately 3 kilometers. You'll see Charents' Arch on your left side. There is a small parking area nearby where you can leave your car.

  • Public Transportation

    From Geghard Monastery, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the entrance of the monastery. Take a bus heading towards Voghjaberd. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. After you get off, you will need to walk about 1 kilometer along the H4 road towards Charents' Arch, which will be on your right. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips.

  • Walking

    If you decide to walk from Geghard Monastery to Charents' Arch, exit the monastery and head southeast towards the H3 road. Walk along the H3 road for about 8 kilometers until you reach the H4 road. Turn left and continue walking for approximately 3 kilometers. Charents' Arch will be on your left. This option is ideal for those who enjoy a scenic hike, but it may take around 2 hours.
