Nansen Park: A Green Oasis in Yerevan

Nansen Park, nestled in the Nor-Nork borough of Yerevan, is a tranquil retreat offering a blend of natural beauty and cultural significance. Named after Fridtjof Nansen, a Norwegian explorer, scientist, and humanitarian, the park stands as a symbol of the enduring friendship between Armenia and Norway. Nansen is revered for his humanitarian work, particularly his efforts to aid Armenian refugees following the Armenian Genocide. The park features a prominent statue of Nansen, sculptures, vibrant flower beds, and expansive lawns. Within Nansen Park, you'll find the Fridtjof Nansen Museum, opened in 2014.
