Car
If you're driving from Lori, take the H45 highway south towards Tatev. The journey is approximately 2 hours. Follow the signs towards Tatev, and once you reach Tatev village, continue on the H45 until you see the signs for Tatev Monastery. There is a parking area available near the monastery.
Public Transportation
To reach Tatev Monastery via public transport, first take a marshrutka (minibus) from Vanadzor (the capital of Lori) to Goris, which costs around 1500 AMD and takes approximately 1.5 hours. From Goris, you can take another marshrutka or taxi to Tatev village, which costs about 500 AMD and takes around 20 minutes. Once in Tatev village, follow the signs to the monastery on foot, which is about a 40-minute uphill walk.

For a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from Lori to Tatev Monastery. The drive will take about 2 hours and will cost approximately 15,000 to 20,000 AMD, depending on your negotiation skills. The taxi can drop you off at the parking area near the monastery.
