Car
The easiest way to get to Harichavank Monastery is to rent a car in Yerevan or Gyumri and drive independently. From Yerevan, take the main highway to Gyumri, consider the slightly longer route around the eastern side of Mount Aragats to enjoy the scenery. The monastery is easily accessible by car, just 5 minutes from the main road. There is a parking area near the monastery.
Public Transport
From Yerevan's Republic Square, go to the Yerevan Central Bus Station and take a marshrutka (minibus) to Harich. The ride takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Harich, walk about 10-15 minutes uphill to reach Harichavank. The marshrutka fare is inexpensive, typically a few hundred drams.
