A one-way trip from the city center to the monastery typically costs around 3,000 to 5,000 AMD, and the journey takes approximately 20 minutes. It's advisable to negotiate the fare with the driver beforehand and arrange for a return trip, as taxis may not be readily available at the monastery. A return taxi with 30 minutes of waiting time at the monastery may cost around 5,000 AMD. Ensure the driver knows you want to visit the monastery, not the village of the same name.

Public Transport
To reach Marmashen Monastery by public transport from Gyumri, take a marshrutka (minibus) towards Vahramaberd. Inform the driver that you wish to visit Marmashen Monastery. The marshrutka will drop you off at the turning for the monastery, just before the entrance to Vahramaberd. From there, it's a walk or a short hitchhike to the monastery. The marshrutka fare is around 1,500 AMD. Note that marshrutkas may not run frequently, so plan accordingly.
