If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the city of Goris in Syunik. Head south on the M2 highway toward Kapan. After approximately 27 km, take the exit toward Ughtasar. Follow the signs to Ughtasar Lake. The last stretch to the lake requires driving on a gravel road, which can be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. The GPS coordinates for Ughtasar Lake are 39.685420, 46.052497. Ensure you have a physical map or GPS device as mobile signals can be weak in remote areas.

To reach Ughtasar Lake by public transportation, you can take a marshrutka (minibus) from Goris to Kapan. The marshrutkas leave frequently throughout the day from the Goris bus station.
