Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest town, Goris, which is approximately 30 km away from Tatev Monastery. Follow the M2 highway heading south towards Tatev. After about 20 km, turn left onto H45. Continue on H45 for about 10 km, and you will arrive at Tatev Monastery, which is well-signposted. There is a parking area available near the monastery, but be aware that there may be a small parking fee.

To reach Tatev Monastery using public transportation, take a minibus (marshrutka) from Goris to Tatev village. Marshrutkas leave from the central bus station in Goris and run regularly throughout the day. The fare is usually around 500 AMD (about $1.20).
