Car
From Yerevan, take the M6 highway north towards Alaverdi. Continue past Alaverdi, following signs for Akhtala. The monastery is approximately 3 km from the M6 highway. Once in Akhtala, follow local road signs to the monastery. Parking is available near the entrance. Note that the road leading to the monastery is a serpentine road.
Public Transport
From Yerevan, take a bus or minibus (marshrutka) from Kilikia bus station to Alaverdi. From Alaverdi, you can take a taxi to Akhtala Monastery for approximately 1,500-2,000 AMD, or take a local bus towards Akhtala village. From Akhtala village, it's a short walk to the monastery.
