Public Transport
From Yerevan, take a bus from Kilikia bus station to Alaverdi (approx. 1500 AMD, 3.5 hours). From Alaverdi, take a taxi to Haghpat Monastery (approx. 2000-3000 AMD, 10 km). Alternatively, marshrutkas run from Alaverdi station to Haghpat village (200 AMD). From the village square, it's a 15-minute walk to the monastery.

From Alaverdi, a taxi to Haghpat Monastery costs approximately 2000-3000 AMD and takes around 20 minutes. Taxis are readily available in Alaverdi. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
Walking
From Haghpat village square, walk uphill for about 15 minutes to reach the monastery. The monastery is visible for much of the walk. Follow the road leading uphill, past souvenir shacks, until you reach the entrance.
