Walking
From the center of Vayk, head southeast along the main street (Tigran Mets Street). Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with the road heading towards the village of Arates. Turn left onto this road. After walking approximately 2 kilometers, you will start to see signs directing you to Arates Monastery. Follow these signs for another 1 kilometer. The monastery is located on a hill, and you may need to walk up a small incline to reach the entrance.
Public Transport
From Vayk's central bus station, take a minibus or shared taxi heading towards the village of Arates. The fare is usually inexpensive (around 300 AMD). Inform the driver that you want to get off at Arates Monastery. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive in Arates, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the monastery, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill from the drop-off point.
