Aruba's Natural Pool (Conchi)

Aruba's Natural Pool, locally known as Conchi (bowl) or Cura di Tortuga (Turtles Cove), offers a unique and adventurous experience. This natural wonder is located within Arikok National Park, characterized by Aruba's most rugged terrain. The pool is formed by a circle of volcanic stones that create a calm, clear basin, providing a safe haven for swimming and snorkeling while the ocean waves crash against the rocks. Reaching the Natural Pool is an adventure in itself. The location is remote and requires traversing the challenging landscape of Arikok National Park. Visitors often feel a sense of discovery upon arriving, whether they choose to hike, ride horseback, or drive a 4x4 vehicle. The surrounding scenery is dramatic, with regular displays of water spraying over the rocks as the tide rushes in. The Natural Pool provides an opportunity to observe colorful fish and marine life while snorkeling. However, swimming and snorkeling are weather-dependent and not guaranteed if the sea conditions are rough. Small snacks and drinks are typically available for purchase near the top of the stairs leading down to the pool.
