Car
If you're driving to the Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail, start from Atherton town center. Head southwest on Main Street towards the Kennedy Highway (A1). Turn right onto the Kennedy Highway and continue for approximately 12 kilometers. Look for the sign for the Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail, which will be on your left. There is parking available near the trail entrance.
Public Transport
To reach the Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail using public transport, catch a bus from the Atherton Bus Station. Look for a bus that heads towards Tolga. The journey takes around 20 minutes. Disembark at the Tolga stop closest to the Kennedy Highway. From there, it's a short 500-meter walk to the trail entrance. Follow the Kennedy Highway north until you reach the trail entrance on your left.
Bicycle
If you're cycling, you can take a scenic route from Atherton. Start on Main Street and head towards the Kennedy Highway. Follow the highway for about 12 kilometers. The ride offers beautiful views and is generally safe for cyclists. There are designated bike paths along some sections of the highway. Once you see the sign for the Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail, you'll find access points to park your bike.
