Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from Katoomba town center. Head east on Katoomba Street towards the Great Western Highway (A32). Turn left onto the Great Western Highway and follow it for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Turn right onto Lurline Street and continue for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Katoomba Falls Reserve entrance. There is parking available at the reserve. Note that parking fees may apply, so be sure to check signage for details.

  • Public Transportation

    If you prefer to use public transportation, take a train from Sydney to Katoomba Station. This journey takes approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival at Katoomba Station, exit the station and take the 685 bus towards 'Katoomba Falls' which will drop you off near the entrance of Katoomba Falls Reserve. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Make sure to check the current bus schedule as times may vary. Keep in mind that bus fares will apply, so ensure you have a valid Opal card or cash ready.

    For those who enjoy walking, Katoomba Falls is accessible via a scenic walking track from Echo Point. Start at Echo Point lookout, which is a short 1.5-kilometer walk downhill.
