Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to Katoomba Falls, start by navigating to Katoomba via the Great Western Highway (A32). Once you arrive in Katoomba, look for the signs directing you to the Katoomba Scenic World area. Continue along the road until you reach the intersection with Katoomba Falls Road. Turn onto Katoomba Falls Road, and follow it to the end where you will find the parking area near the falls. Parking may incur a fee, so be sure to check the signage for any applicable costs.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Katoomba Falls via public transportation, take a train from Sydney Central Station to Katoomba Station on the Blue Mountains Line. The journey takes approximately two hours. Upon arrival at Katoomba Station, exit the station and look for the local bus service number 686, which operates towards Katoomba Falls. The bus ride will take around 10-15 minutes. Be sure to check the current schedule, as bus services may vary. The bus fare will be approximately AUD 4-6, depending on your ticket type.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk from Katoomba Station to Katoomba Falls, it's about a 30-minute hike. Exit the station and head south on Parke Street, then take a right onto Katoomba Falls Road. Follow the road until you reach the falls. This route features scenic views of the surrounding area and is suitable for all fitness levels. Be sure to wear comfortable footwear and bring water for the hike.
