Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Brisbane City, catch the Translink bus route 471 from Ann Street, Stop 10 near King George Square. The bus departs approximately every 4 hours and arrives at Mt Coot-tha Rd at Botanic Gardens, stop 19. The journey takes about 20 minutes. A one-way ticket costs between $1 and $2. Alternatively, take bus route 598 or 599 (Great Circle Line). Check Translink for the most up-to-date schedules.

  • Car

    Access the main entrance from Mt Coot-tha Road. Free parking is available in the car park at the main entry. Additional parking can be found at Ada Street car park, across from the main entry. Parking is also available at Anzac Park surrounds in Toowong; use the Canon Garland Overpass to reach the gardens. Parking is free. Be aware that parking can fill up quickly on weekends and during school holidays.

  • Walking

    From Toowong Station, it's approximately a 40-minute walk to the gardens. Enter the gardens via the main entry at 152 Mt Coot-tha Road. If entering from Mt Coot-tha Forest, use the Citriodora Trail gate, open 8am to 4pm daily.
