Car
From the Bungle Bungle Range, head towards the Purnululu National Park entrance. The entrance is approximately 50 kilometers from the nearest town, Kununurra, and the drive will take about 1-1.5 hours. Once you reach the entrance, you will need to pay the park entry fee, which is around $13 per adult (as of 2023). After passing the entrance, follow the signs to Cathedral Gorge. The road may be unsealed, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended. Continue driving for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the Cathedral Gorge car park.
Walking
After parking your vehicle at the Cathedral Gorge car park, follow the marked walking trail that leads into the gorge. The trail is approximately 2 kilometers one way and will take about 30-40 minutes to walk. The path is well-defined but can be uneven, so wear sturdy shoes. Along the way, enjoy the stunning views of the Bungle Bungles' unique sandstone formations.
