    What a fantastic trip! Our pilot, Lachie, was great company, full of information about the amazing landscape we flew over. On the ground our guide Bec was wonderful explaining the significance of the land to the people of the First Nations. She is a great storyteller and very funny. The Bungle Bungles are just astounding. Nothing like it on earth. Took so many beautiful pictures. The whole family loved it. Even our teenage sons.

    This was a great tour to an amazing place (Purnululu National Park/Bungle Bungles). It’s quite far from Broome (2-3 hours flying time each way) but well worth the trip and expense. Lachlan was our pilot and was excellent. Unfortunately the headset I had didn’t work well so I couldn’t hear all of his commentary which was too bad. Also know that the plane (a Cessna) holds 5 passenger and it’s a bit cramped for legroom. We flew over the Bungle Bungles and Winjama Gorge as well as other interesting landscapes. When you arrive at the Bungle Bungles airstrip, you are passed to Kingfisher Tours who takes you on a walking tour into the formations including Cathedral Gorge (see my review of this company). I gave 4 stars for the malfunctioning headset and cramped plane.

    I was hesitant about booking this trip due to the cost - for a family of four it was expensive but I am so glad we did. Our pilot, Lachlan (snr, apparently although he was only 30) was amazing - keeping us informed throughout the long flight and the bungle bungles themselves were incredible, with an expert guide in Bec from kingfisher tours. The small aircraft wasn’t exactly luxurious but it was quick, efficient and felt safe. Highly highly recommended.

    Without a doubt it was a brilliant tour. Our pilot Thomas was very professional and looked after all our needs. Once we arrived at Bungle Bungles Rosie greeted us with enthusiasm, wealth of knowledge and so helpful and caring. Rebecca introduced us to her aboriginal culture and amused with stories and sang in the Cathedral Gorge in her own language. This was an amazing day and l certainly recommend Air Kimberley to anyone to have a fantastic tour.

    The plane ride conditions were very unpleasant, leg space was cramped. However the pilot was very helpful in trying to distract this with very informative information. The Bungle Bungles were amazing the guide Bec faultless & informative

    Fitzroy River

    Overfly the mighty Fitzroy River, the Fitzroy Crossing township and the stunning Geikie Gorge enroute to Purnululu National Park.

    Bungle Bungle Range

    Fly the scenic pattern around the Bungle Bungle Massif, before landing at the remote Bellburn airstrip. Walk amongst the famous eroded towers and black and orange banded beehive structures on the Domes Walk. Your guide will take you into Cathedral Gorge, where the towering cliffs open up to form a space with awe inspiring natural acoustics. Walk along the sandy bed of Piccaninny Creek, which flows only in the monsoon waterfall season. Learn about the Kimberley climate, the 6 seasons and unique flora and fauna so important to the traditional custodians of the land.

    Cathedral Gorge

    Enjoy a local bush tucker loop and a walk into the awe-inspiring Cathedral Gorge and then the Lookout for some of the best views of the park. A light pack is provided with your drinks and lunch to be enjoyed in Cathedral Gorge, whilst your Gija guide sings the ancient songs of her country.

    On your return flight to Broome, fly over the spectacular Wunaamin-Milliwundi Ranges, Devonian Reef Conservation Park and Windjana Gorge.
