Getting there

Walking

Start at the Byron Bay Main Beach, located at Jonson Street. Walk along the beach promenade heading south until you reach the end of the beach. Continue walking along the coastal path, which will lead you towards Cape Byron Lighthouse. Follow the path as it curves around the coastline, taking in the stunning ocean views. When you reach the Cape Byron Lighthouse, continue past it on the same path. Fisherman's Lookout is a short walk from the lighthouse, just a couple of minutes along the path. Look for the signs directing you to Fisherman's Lookout as you approach.

Bicycle

Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike hire shops in Byron Bay. Start at the town center and make your way towards Lighthouse Road. Follow Lighthouse Road up to the Cape Byron Headland. As you cycle, enjoy the scenic views of the ocean and the surrounding area. Keep heading towards the Cape Byron Lighthouse, and once you reach it, park your bike. Fisherman's Lookout is a short walk from the lighthouse; simply follow the path and look for the signs directing you to the lookout.

Public Transport

Take a local bus from Byron Bay town center to Cape Byron Headland. Check the bus schedule for the most current times. Once you arrive at the bus stop near the lighthouse, get off and follow the walking path leading to Cape Byron Lighthouse. After visiting the lighthouse, continue along the path that leads to Fisherman's Lookout. The lookout is just a short distance away and is well-signposted.
