Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Byron Bay town center, head east on Jonson Street towards the beach. Continue straight until you reach the beachfront at Main Beach. Follow the beach path south until you reach Clarkes Beach. Continue along the beach path, which will lead you to the Cape Byron Headland. Follow the path upwards through the Cape Byron Walking Track, enjoying views along the way. At the top, you will find the Cape Byron Lighthouse. From here, continue following the path around the headland until you reach the eastern side where you will find Lighthouse Beach.

  • Public Transport

    From Byron Bay town center, catch a bus heading towards Ballina. Get off at the East Ballina stop. Walk east towards Lighthouse Beach by following the signs. It is a short walk from the bus stop, approximately 1 km, through local streets until you reach the beach access point.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Byron Bay. Start from the Byron Bay town center and head towards the beachfront. Ride along the coastal path south until you reach Clarkes Beach. Continue along the path up to the Cape Byron Lighthouse. Once at the lighthouse, you can cycle down towards Lighthouse Beach, which is about a 15-minute ride from the lighthouse.
