Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the Byron Bay town center, start at the Byron Bay Surf Club located at 1 Clarkes Beach. From there, walk north along Lawson Street until you reach the intersection with Jonson Street. Turn left onto Jonson Street and continue walking until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Bangalow Road (known as the Byron Bay bypass). Follow Bangalow Road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the next roundabout. Continue straight through the roundabout, and you will be on the road leading to Sharpes Beach. As you approach, look for the signs indicating Sharpes Beach. The beach access will be on your right.

  • Public Transport

    From Byron Bay town center, head to the nearest bus stop located on Jonson Street. You can take the 'Byron Bay Bus' service towards Ballina. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the next departure. Get off at the stop for 'Sharpes Beach' (this is usually announced on the bus). After exiting the bus, walk down the path towards the beach access, which will lead you directly to Sharpes Beach.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Byron Bay. Start from the rental shop and head towards Lawson Street. Follow Lawson Street until you reach the intersection with Jonson Street, then turn left. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout and take the second exit onto Bangalow Road. Cycle along Bangalow Road for about 1.5 kilometers, and keep an eye out for signs directing you to Sharpes Beach. You will find a bike path that leads directly to the beach entrance.
