Getting There

• Bus

  To reach the Nimbin Community Centre from Byron Bay, head to the Byron Bay Bus Terminal located on Jonson Street. Look for the 'Nimbin' bus service provided by 'Northern Rivers Bus' that departs several times a day. Purchase your ticket from the driver or at the terminal. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Nimbin bus stop, walk towards the main street, and take a right onto Cullen Street. The Nimbin Community Centre will be on your left at 81 Cullen St.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Byron Bay. From the center of Byron Bay, head west on Lawson Street towards the Gold Coast Highway. Continue straight on the highway, following the signs for Nimbin. The ride is about 30 kilometers and will take you approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Nimbin, look for Cullen Street, and the Nimbin Community Centre will be located at 81 Cullen St on your left.

• Walking

  Walking directly from Byron Bay to Nimbin is not practical due to the distance (about 30 kilometers). However, if you are up for an adventurous hike, you could walk to the nearest bus stop to catch a bus to Nimbin. Start from the Byron Bay Lighthouse and head towards the main road, then follow the directions for the bus option above.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or rideshare service from Byron Bay to Nimbin. Simply call a local taxi service or use a rideshare app. The drive will take around 30-40 minutes, and you can ask the driver to drop you off at 81 Cullen St, where the Nimbin Community Centre is located.
