Walking
If you are staying in the central area of Byron Bay, head towards the beachfront. Walk along Jonson Street until you reach the beach. Turn left onto the pathway that leads you along the coastline. Follow the path for about 20 minutes, enjoying the ocean views. Keep walking until you reach Wategos Beach, which is located just past The Pass.
Public Transport
You can take a local bus from Byron Bay town center to Wategos Beach. Look for the bus stop near the Byron Bay Visitor Information Centre. Board the bus that heads to 'Wategos Beach'. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the Wategos Beach stop. From there, follow the signs to the beach area, which is a short walk away.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Byron Bay. From the town center, head towards the beachfront and join the bike path along the coastline. Cycle along the path for about 15-20 minutes, and you will arrive at Wategos Beach. There are bike racks available at the beach for parking your bike.
