Start from the Byron Bay Main Beach. Head east along the beachfront promenade towards Clarkes Beach. Continue walking along the shoreline until you reach the end of the beach. At the end, you will see the path leading up to the Cape Byron Lighthouse. Follow the path up the hill towards the lighthouse, enjoying the scenic views along the way.

Once you reach the Cape Byron Lighthouse, take the time to enjoy the views. The Whale & Dolphin Trail starts from this point. Follow the signs for the trail that will guide you along the coast. The trail is well marked and will lead you through beautiful landscapes where you can spot whales and dolphins during the migration seasons.
