Start at the Cairns Central Bus Station, located at 1 Grafton St, Cairns City. From there, take the TransLink bus service to Kuranda. Look for the bus number that specifically heads to Kuranda, which typically operates several times a day. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Kuranda, get off at the Kuranda Village stop.

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway
Another scenic option is to take the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway from Smithfield Station. To get there, take a local bus or a taxi from Cairns City to Smithfield. Once you arrive, purchase your tickets for the Skyrail. The cableway ride will give you stunning views of the rainforest before you arrive at the Kuranda station. After disembarking, follow the signs to Birdworld Kuranda which is approximately a 10-minute walk (800 meters) from the Skyrail terminal.

Kuranda Scenic Railway
Alternatively, take the Kuranda Scenic Railway from Cairns Railway Station. Start at Cairns Railway Station located at 1 Spence St, Cairns. Purchase your ticket at the station and board the train heading to Kuranda. The scenic journey takes about 1.5 hours with beautiful views along the way. Once you arrive at the Kuranda Station, Birdworld Kuranda is approximately a 10-minute walk (about 800 meters) from the station. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions.
