Getting There

• Bus

  From Cairns City, head to the Cairns Central Bus Station located at 51 Grafton St. You can take the KURANDA scenic railway or the public bus service. If you choose the public bus, look for the bus number 423 that goes to Kuranda. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Kuranda Village stop. From the bus stop, walk along the main street for about 5 minutes until you reach Therwine St. Turn left onto Therwine St, and you will find the Kuranda Original Rainforest Markets at 13 Therwine St.

• Skyrail

  To take the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, make your way to the Skyrail terminal located at 6 Skyrail Drive, Smithfield. You can take a taxi or the local bus (number 110) from Cairns to get there. Once at the Skyrail terminal, purchase your ticket and board the gondola for a scenic ride over the rainforest to Kuranda. The Skyrail will take about 1.5 hours. After arriving at the Kuranda station, follow the signs to the markets, which are about a 10-minute walk away. Head towards the main street and take a left on Therwine St to find the Kuranda Original Rainforest Markets.

• Walking

  If you are already in Kuranda, reaching the Kuranda Original Rainforest Markets is easy. From the Kuranda Railway Station or Skyrail station, walk towards the main street of Kuranda. Head straight along the main street, and after about 5-10 minutes, turn left onto Therwine St. The markets will be located on your left at 13 Therwine St.
