From the Cairns Central Station, take the Sun Palm Transport bus service towards Port Douglas. Ensure to check the schedule as the buses run at specific intervals. After approximately 30-40 minutes, you will arrive at a stop near Rex Lookout. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the Captain Cook Hwy and follow the signs to Rex Lookout, which is just a short 5-minute walk uphill.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can easily hail a taxi from anywhere in Cairns. Simply provide the driver with the address: Captain Cook Hwy, Wangetti QLD 4877. The ride will take about 25-30 minutes depending on traffic, and you will be dropped right at Rex Lookout.
