Bus
From Palm Cove, head to the nearest bus stop located on Williams Esplanade. You can take the Sunbus route 110 towards Cairns. Make sure to check the schedule for the next bus, as they can vary. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. You will need to disembark at the Ellis Beach stop, which is located along Captain Cook Hwy. The fare is usually around AUD 3.00 to AUD 5.00, depending on the time of day and your travel card.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to enjoy the scenic views, you can walk to Ellis Beach from Palm Cove. Start at the Palm Cove Jetty and follow the beach promenade north. Keep walking along the shoreline, and after about 45 minutes to an hour, you will reach Ellis Beach. This route offers beautiful coastal views and a chance to enjoy the natural surroundings.
Bicycle
For a more active option, consider renting a bicycle in Palm Cove. There are several bike rental shops along Williams Esplanade. Once you have a bike, head north along the Captain Cook Highway. The ride to Ellis Beach will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow road safety rules. Rental fees typically start from AUD 15.00 for a couple of hours.
