Train
The Kuranda Scenic Railway offers a historic journey from Cairns or Freshwater Station to Kuranda. From Cairns Station, the ride takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. From Freshwater Station, the train ride is shorter. Upon arrival at Kuranda Station, the park is a short walk away. A one-way ticket from Cairns costs around $55-79 AUD.

The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway provides a scenic aerial route from Smithfield to Kuranda. The journey takes you over the rainforest canopy with stops at Red Peak and Barron Falls. From the Kuranda terminal, the park is easily accessible. A one-way Skyrail ticket is approximately $56-76 AUD. Consider a self-drive option to Skyrail Smithfield, where free parking is available.

Trans North Bus and Coach operates a service between Cairns and Atherton, with stops at Kuranda Village. This is a 'Hail & Ride' service, and tickets are purchased in Australian dollars. If driving from Cairns, head north-west on Sheridan Street/National Route 1 towards Smithfield. At the Smithfield roundabout, take the left exit onto Captain Cook Highway. At the Kuranda traffic lights, turn left onto Rob Veivers Drive, then take the 3rd exit onto Therwine Street. Limited parking is available near the Kuranda Visitor Information Centre. Parking is free.
