Bus
Start at the Canberra City Centre. Head to the bus stop at the corner of Northbourne Avenue and Civic Square. Take the ACTION bus route 81 or 82 towards Tuggeranong. Check the bus schedule for the latest departure times. Stay on the bus for about 40 minutes and get off at the Tidbinbilla Road stop (the last stop on this route). From the bus stop, walk approximately 1.5 kilometers along Tidbinbilla Road, following the signs for Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. You will reach the entrance to Tidbinbilla Sanctuary on your left.

Bike
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike hire shops in Canberra. Start from the city center and take the shared bike paths along Northbourne Avenue. Follow the signs towards the Tuggeranong Parkway and continue onto Tidbinbilla Road. The bike ride will take around 1 hour, covering approximately 18 kilometers. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the way, and ensure you have water and snacks for the ride.

Walking
For an adventurous walk, start from the city center. Head south along Northbourne Avenue towards the Tuggeranong Parkway. It’s a long trek of about 18 kilometers, which will take roughly 4-5 hours depending on your pace. Follow the walking paths and be sure to stay hydrated. Once you reach Tidbinbilla Road, turn left and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Tidbinbilla Sanctuary. This option is recommended only for those in good physical condition.
