Getting There

Walking
From the heart of Braddon, head southwest on Lonsdale Street towards the intersection with Elouera Street. Turn left onto Elouera Street, then continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Northbourne Avenue. Cross Northbourne Avenue and continue straight onto Constitution Avenue. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will reach the entrance to Old Parliament House, located at 18 King George Terrace, Parkes.

From Braddon, head to the nearest bus stop on Northbourne Avenue. Catch the ACTION bus route 300 towards the City. After a short ride (about 5-10 minutes), disembark at the stop for the National Gallery of Australia. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to Old Parliament House. Head south on King Edward Terrace, then turn left onto King George Terrace; the entrance will be on your right.

If you enjoy cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental spots in Braddon. Head south on Lonsdale Street towards the bike path on Northbourne Avenue. Follow the bike path south until you reach the intersection with Constitution Avenue. Turn left onto Constitution Avenue and follow it until you reach the entrance of Old Parliament House. This route is approximately 2.5 km and should take around 10-15 minutes.
